Independence

Leather & Brass is editorially independent. No supplier, brand, or advertiser has any influence on what we cover or how we cover it. Advertising, where present, is clearly labeled and is kept separate from editorial decisions.

Sourcing

Technical claims — alloy ratios, load ratings, dimensions, pricing — are sourced from manufacturer specifications, supplier documentation, or hands-on testing. Where a claim is opinion or judgement, we say so clearly.

Samples and review units

Suppliers sometimes send us hardware samples to test. When that happens, we disclose it in the article. Samples are never a condition of coverage and never a guarantee of a positive review.

Affiliate links and advertising

We may use affiliate links to recommended products. When we do, it's clearly disclosed. Whether we earn a commission has no bearing on whether a product is recommended.

Corrections

We correct factual errors promptly and visibly. If you spot one, email editorial@leatherhardwareaccessories.lovable.app.
